The word Eden means "pleasure" and "delight". It was a place created by Yahweh for both Adam and Eve to cultivate and to thrive. Eden was a garden full of provision; with heavenly made fruits growing on trees, self watering systems flowing from the ground, animals of every kind on the land, in the air, and in the sea. It was amazing. The original land flowing with milk and honey. A garden full of mouth watering foods with colors and tastes we could only imagine. Living lavishly lush, they had everything they could ever want or need. Yet God did not stop there. He supplied His flawless design for God ordained mates. There was absolutely no modern day confusion present. Adam and Eve were soul mates, kingdom spouses, lovers, each other's best and ONLY friends. Why? Because they were the only humans in the Garden. They were the first to ever do it. Wouldn't say the greatest, it was short lived, but they were the first nonetheless!
It’s possible you’re wondering why is this important? Like what does this have to do with YOUR home garden? Everything my friend, it has everything to do with it. Imagine, God designed a place called "delight" and "pleasure" for humanity. Not simply for certain people, but a place of paradise just for you. Although Adam and Eve did get kicked out of the garden due to an unfortunate series of events found in Genesis 3, ( you'll have to read it), it does not take away God's desire for us to experience Eden. All throughout scripture from Genesis to Revelations God mentions this magnificent place, this paradise of perfection He desired and desires for us. We could NEVER replicate God’s glory of Eden, HOWEVER, we can enjoy a garden where we grow both inwardly and outwardly. A place that cultivates the inner garden of our hearts, the outward garden of our lives, and the physical food producing gardens right in the places God has planted us. Let's grow together as we well…grow together using God's blueprint. God said He has given us every seed bearing fruit for food in Genesis 1:27. The same God that arranged a beautifully provided garden, is the very God that is mindful of every detail of your life and still wants Eden for you.
Let's Grow Our Home Gardens of Eden together. ❤️
The Lord will comfort Israel again and have pity on her ruins. Her desert will blossom like Eden, her barren wilderness like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found there. Songs of thanksgiving will fill the air.
~ Isaiah 51:3
